Philadelphia International Airport’s Terminal B is getting an upgrade that will make waiting for a plane easier for travelers. Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), American Airlines and MarketPlace Philadelphia have announced plans for award-winning hospitality group OTG to transform the dining and retail experience from the ground up at the PHL’s Terminal B.
This is a $30 million plan that will add dining options, 1,000 iPads and comfortable seating in gate lounges. Can you imagine comfortable seating in PHL? Terminal B serves American Airlines and the project will be primarily funded by hospitality company OTG. Construction is expected to start in the fall and the work should be finished by 2018.
The expectation is that American Airline’s air travel customers will be able to experience exciting new food options from some of Philadelphia’s most celebrated chefs. This will include an expansive food hall, gourmet markets and world-class retail shopping in what promises to be an innovative airport experience.
